FAQ
Why Kids & Shipt?
We're both dads. We already ship our golf clubs, why not strollers?
Travelling with kids can be stressful even before you make it to your in-laws. There's a lot of advice on how to travel with kids (thanks, Momfluencers) but there are few services, so we decided to make on that is focused on parents travelling with you kids. We can't help you with your in-laws, though.
We're small. This is a work-in-progress. We'll keep getting better and expanding if there's enough interest in us doing so.
How does Kids & Shipt work?
We use AI to detect your travel needs and AI agents to resolve them - just kidding. We're trying to build a simple company that helps solve a problem we live.
If you've made it here, you've either experienced the stress of travelling with kids or are realizing it will be a pain.
Kids & Shipt enables you to send baby gear / kid essentials to your destination ahead of time, so you don't have to lug everything to the airport, play the baggage allowance game, or wonder what happens if the pack-and-play gets left on the tarmac.
Prepare your items for shipping by condensing them as much as possible, put them in a travel bag (you'll definitely need one of those regardless), print the label, and bring both to the designated carrier.
Don't want diapers taking up valuable space in your checked luggage? We'll have a box shipped to your destination.
We'll be adding more as we go to help make your trips easier (but, in the meantime, Elsa and Anna are always available to help).
Why should I ship my baby gear instead of taking it with me through the airport?
Airports suck...
Well, you'll obviously need some stuff but what you don't need for day of, you can ship.
Why should I ship my baby gear instead of renting it at my destination?
You could do that. In some instances, it probably makes more sense but (some) kids like their stuff and (all) parents want their kids to be happy and health.
Kids like their stuff. Don't ruin your vacation because the kids didn't like that old pack-and-play that's been at the rental property since you were a baby - it has weird pastel coloring, squeaks when baby moves, and looks clean but when was the last time it was sanitized?
What about car seats? Rental car companies have them but when was your last pleasant experience with a rental car company? Peer-to-peer platforms have them but how do you know if that car seat was in an accident? Sure, the people you're renting from said it hasn't been but what if someone else rented it, got in an accident, and just returned the car seat without saying anything to save themselves a couple hundred bucks?
